Tapisco is chef Henrique Sá Pessoa's new restaurant in Principe Real. It combines Portuguese traditional snacks and Spanish tapas in a menu that reflects the famous Portuguese chef's (from Michelin star restaurant, Alma) connections with Spain, specifically Barcelona.
The menu is divided into several "sections": Tapiscos, Eggs, Hot Coals, Small Pots and Desserts - all with Spanish and Portuguese options. “It's a way to encompass two culinary cultures which complement one another, and to unify the experience, so you can choose and share what you want,” explains Henrique Sá Pessoa.
We should also mention that all dishes are prepared with ingredients from small Portuguese and Spanish producers. The vegetables are organic and made in Portugal, while meat and fish quality is absolutely great - tuna, for example, comes fresh from the Azores every day.
With 11 tables, Tapisco only has 32 seats (10 of which over the counter).
